Annual General Body meeting of Buntara Sangha Kuwait was held on Friday, December 30th 2016, at Indian Community School, Khaitan, Kuwait.

The activity for the day commenced with prayer song to Lord Ganesha by Ms. Hrashi P Shetty, followed by Lighting of Lamp by the Outgoing President and Managing Committee members which marked the inauguration of the event.

 

The outgoing General Secretary Dinesh Shetty presented the Annual report for the year, highlighting the achievements of the Sangha in cultural and charitable activities during the year. The audited annual financial report for the year 2016 was presented by outgoing treasurer Babitha Manoj Shetty, which was later approved by the members present at the AGM with a loud round of applause. 

 

Rajesh Shetty, the outgoing president, thanked all the members for their strong support during his tenure. He praised the Managing committee members for their innovative ideas, strategic thinking, and tireless efforts to increase the visibility of Sangha. He reiterated that the support of the members and goodwill has enabled the Sangha to make remarkable contributions towards welfare activities under HEMA (Health, Education and Marriage Assistance) scheme.

Children were presented with memento in appreciation of their valuable participation during the ‘Buntayana & Deepavali Parbha’ 2016.

This was followed by the Election of the 2017 Managing Committee.

Returning officer Mrs. Swarna Shetty announced that following members were unanimously elected as office bearers of the Buntara Sangha for the year 2017.

The members of Bunts Sangha Managing committee 2017 are:

President – Yadunath Alva, Adyapadi

Vice President – Uday Kumar Shetty

General Secretary – Praveen Kumar Shetty, Shankat

Treasurer – NiranjanMalli, Gundilaguthu

Cultural Secretary – Jaysheel Shetty, Horlali

Sports Secretary – Shodhan Shetty, Aikala

PRO – Sandesh Shetty, Adve Sannoni

 

The elected members of managing committee assured the members of the association of their best service during their tenure in their introductory speech. 

The newly elected president, Yadunath Alva Adyapadi in his speech thanked the members for reposing confidence in him, and assured that the MC 2017 is committed to make progress to ensure successful and ambitious outcomes for the Sangha both in cultural and welfare activities. He praised the efforts of the predecessors, and   hoped that the members would continue to support and work closely with the Managing Committee to provide an amazing family environment and values for the Sangha children. 

The cultural program for the day comprised of dance performances by BSK kids and Heart beat Group. The program was beautifully hosted by Devi Prasad Rai, while brain teasers and quiz by Manoj Shetty kept the audience engrossed and entertained.  The program came to a beautiful end with New Year Celebration and cutting of cake  and vote of thanks by Outgoing General secretary, Dinesh Shetty.

The Managing committee members cordially invites all BSK members (Bunts Only) with their family for their annual events of Sports day and Family Get-together on Friday, 11th November 2016 at Fintas Park from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm.

Sports day and Family get-together are a time for fun, sports, enjoyments, stress relief and catching up with exciting  games and activities.This is the time which is meant to spice up the life and being thankful for having a lovely family and togetherness under one roof of Buntara Sangha Kuwait. There shall be plenty of fun sports activities for all the family to take part in, as well as children's activities with prizes to be won. 

Breakfast will be provided from 8.30 am to 9.00 am

Sports Day & Family get-together will start with “Double Wicket Box Cricket”  game at 9.00 am sharp. In each team there will be 2 players, who will bat at strikers end and non-strikers end. Maximum two overs for each team, depending upon the number of teams participating. Please register yourself at the earliest to Mr. Devi Shetty @ 67081554 or Mr. Dinesh Shetty @ 99632601

We shall be having a lot many exciting and fun games for all age groups. So be on time and come and enjoy the event with your family and have a fun & healthy day in Fintas Park.

BSK Managing Committee is extremely proud to cordially invite you all, along with your family for our event “ Diwali Parbha”. A family get-together which is scheduled on 21st October 2016, from 10.30am to 5.00pm in ICSK Seniors School, Salmiya. 

We are looking forward towards active participations and registration from our very own talented BSK members, for the below Competitions. 

1)    Rangoli Competition: ( Open to all)

 Rules:

A)   Maximum 6 participants in Each Group. Each group can be a mix group of men, women & kids

B)   Rangoli can be done with Rangoli Powder / Pulses / Flowers / Desiccated Coconut Powder

C)   All the required materials have to be arranged by the participants

D)  Space to be used is 3 X 3 ft

E)   Any design is welcome. But the use of ready-made stickers and ready-made design maker are not allowed

F)   Time allotted : 60 minutes

 

2)  Kandil/Lantern Making [Deepavali Gud-Deepa Makings]( Open to all)

Rules:

A)   Maximum 4 participants in Each Group

B)   Kindly get all the required material for the making of the lantern

C)   Ready-made lanterns are not allowed. Use your own creativity to create, build, draw and paint the Lantern

D)  Time allotted : 90 minutes

 

3)    Diwali Adya Competition (Open to Men and Women) :

Rules:

A)   Maximum 6 participants in Each Group

B)   The participants should register their group name

C)   Number of dishes : 2

D)  Qty made : approx. half kg each

E)   Any types of special Adyas usually prepared in Karnataka

Kindly register the name of your dishes with the registration team. Dishes are to be made at home, and to be brought and displayed in the event. Special panel of judges will judge the dishes, based on taste and creativity of display

The managing committee is all geared to celebrate its 15th year of inception at the Annual Cultural program “Buntaayana 2016

The event shall be presided by the Chief Guest Justice N. Santosh Hegde a former Justice of the Supreme Court of India, former Solicitor General of India and was Lokayukta for Karnataka from 2006-2011.
