Buntara Sangha Kuwait held an exciting outdoor picnic and sports event on a beautiful November weather with BSK family on 25th Nov 2022, at Fintas Garden. The day’s events were formally inaugurated in the morning by lighting the lamp led by President Guruprasad Hegde, Vice-president Rakshak Shetty, Treasurer Raviraj Shetty, Sports Secretary Prakash Shetty, Cultural Secretary Shruti Rai, Public relations Officer Prema Shetty along with Ex-Presidents and all members.
Under the able guidance and leadership of BSK President, BSK Managing committee led by Sports Secretary with its sub committee members organised the outdoor event with fun filled sports competitions and traditional competitive games. Team games such as throw ball, Box cricket, Tug-of-war, while individual games such as sack race, distance throw ball and couple games like dodgeball, blindfold games were held. All the games were played with true sports spirits with utmost participation by BSK members.
The members were welcomed with breakfast at the venue, while tea/coffee and snacks were also served during the day. Spot Quiz question and answers were held more frequently. Delicious lunch were served to all members and enjoyed by all. Competitions for kids in variety of age group were also held and well represented. Breaking the pot and Housie games were played with highest participation. New members were introduced to BSK family through self-introductions.
The overwhelming support and wholehearted participation from all members present kept the family spirit high and the momentum flowing with lots of fun and happiness. An eventful day ended with honoring all the winners and runners of different competitions by distributing medals, prizes and trophies with much applauds. Early bird draw was held with the winner being Mrs. Pooja Amar Alva.
The managing committee express their gratitude to Mr. Chandrahas Shetty for Tea/Coffee and light snacks served throughout the day as well to Mr. Shodhan Shetty for the Trophy. Delicious breakfast and lunch from Al Beit Al Khaleji Restaurant Company ensured all participants were treated the best food. Smiling faces and thumping roars of jubilations were well captured by photographer Mr. Charith Shetty. The event was a great success with good BSK member turnaround after a break of 2 years due to the pandemic.
